I think you are right in as much as you are saying you must love yourself and become appreciative of yourself before someone else will truly love you. It's not that you're not lovable, but that you can't fully enjoy life until you recognize that yourself. Once you do, others all around you will. You must be comfortable in your own skin and feel good about yourself.
